Our First Camping Trip! (finally)

Friday after work we drove up to the Uinta Mountains. We couldn't find a camp site by the lake so we did a little off roading in the middle of nowhere and found the "perfect spot". We had a fantastic time. Take a look at some of the pictures...Andrea is getting the fire ready for cooking dinner.Ahhh charbroiled hot dogs. MmmmmGood morning sunshine! My new camp stove worked like a charm. Thanks REI. (This is car camping at its finest).
If you look closely, this is a baby moose we saw from the car. Andrea wondered where the mom was (I was scared to death we'd find out where the mom was), but we didn't stick around to find out.
We packed the ice chest, chairs, and our food into the canoe and set out on Mirror Lake. It was beautiful, but the water was freezing cold.
We stopped for lunch on the banks of the lake and found we weren't the only ones who were hungry. We gave this little guy some Doritos and once we'd given him a little taste, he kept coming back for more. We tried to give him other things like bread, tomato, and cabbage, but all he wanted were Doritos! So we decided to name him "Chip".

Our trip to Chico and the Lake

No summer would be complete without a wakeboard/kneeboard/ski trip to California. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Andrea's getting a few instructions (like she needed them though).
Opps! Another one bites the dust.
Ryan hosed me big time!
Cookies and milk after boating is a family tradition
We also had fun at grandma's pool

San Juan Islands

Andrea and I just got back from an awesome vacation in the San Juan Islands on Dad's sail boat. We spent five days on the water and even sailed into Victoria Canada. Check out some of our fun photos below.
Marina at Bellingham Washington

Ryan Climbs the mast so we can fly a courtesy Canadian flag into Victoria. Good thing he's not afraid of hieghtsOn the way to Victoria we had some pretty big waves that tries to sink the boat. But we made it through. Six foot waves are not for the faint of stomach. Some of our crew mates got sick (poor mom). Good morning sunshine!

While we were in Victoria we took a bus ride to see the famous Butchart Gardens. This was Andrea's favorite stop.

On our last full day of sailing we finally got to see some whales. These are orca whales, commonly known as killer whales. But they seemed friendly enough.Ryan rows the captain to shore so we can go for a hike on Jones Island.

Julia's got pretty attached to this peice of seaweed. She hauled it al the way back to the boat and even tied is on so it could ride behind us. Weird.

Aaarrrrrrrgggggggg!
